Cassandra Sherred was born and raised in South Carolina, where she currently resides with her two sons.

Writing began for her at an early age as an outlet via journals and poetry in Elementary School. Through Middle, High School, and College Creative writing was always her favorite subject. She's a college graduate twice over with an Associates for Legal Administrative Specialist and an Associate of Science for Medical Billing & Coding Specialist. As an adult, influenced by her favorite authors, she began to write short stories as well as blogs. Later she decided to try writing a novel and has finally accomplished her goal of becoming a published author. Cassandra's first novel "Toxic Love, Poisoned Life" was independently in the fall of 2013. The  following novels under her pen name Ann Leona is titled "BLACK Widow: The Gabrielle Black Chronicles; the second installation in The Gabrielle Chronicles is "Highest In Command" the third's titled "Relative Love And Blood" and the fourth's title is "Princess Warrior Lord And Master".
